Haven Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team within a specialist EBD Children’s Residential Home in the Birmingham area. This role is full time, working shifts on a rotational basis from 7.30am to 11pm, with a requirement to complete between 6-8 sleep-in shifts every month.

About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:
* Working alongside the Manager & the Deputy Manager in the Children's Residential Home.
* Ensuring that our Young People receive the highest standard of support/care appropriate to their individual needs.
* Providing advice, assistance, and support to Young People, safeguarding their welfare at all times.
* Ensuring that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures.
* Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers, to take the lead on shift and be responsible for the events on the shift.
* Attending to Young People’s practical, physical, and emotional needs and acting as an appropriate role model.
* Working closely with Young People to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
* Communicating effectively with the team of staff coming onto shift ensuring that a thorough account of your shift's events has taken place.
* Completing written reports and documentation.
* Setting up, coordinating, and reviewing Care plans, Risk Assessments, Behaviour Management Plans, Health Care Documentation, Agreements, and Incentives.
About You
To be successful as a Team Leader with HCG, you will need to possess the following essential attributes:
* Minimum Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young Peoples Workforce) or equivalent.
* 1 year minimum working experience with Young People that may have social and emotional difficulties, or behaviour that challenges.
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
* Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight.
* Experience in leading shifts and overseeing a team of Support Workers.
