This Opportunity:
Palladium’s Economic Growth and Green Economy (EGGE) team is delivering large-scale economic development, capital mobilisation and climate transition programmes across Africa and Asia for the UK FCDO and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. We are expecting continued growth in 2025 and looking to bolster our team with highly motivated individuals with a proven track record in both business development and delivery of impactful programmes.
The Senior Associate will play a pivotal role in driving business development as we identify, grow and expand our pipeline of new projects with the UK Government and other donors. They will also play an important role in delivering new projects in collaboration with our national, regional and global teams.

Reporting Lines: The role reports to the Director, EGGE.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Development:
· Support our business development strategy by conducting research on relevant topics, countries, clients, partners and competitors.
· Prepare initial drafts of capability statements, expressions of interest and specific components of proposals.
· Effectively coordinate priority proposals, including supporting the identification and recruitment of key experts, international and local partners and contribute to development of win themes.
Programme Delivery and Management:
· Contribute to the successful implementation of Palladium’s programmes and delivery of lasting outcomes to complex development challenges.
· Support the implementation of Palladium’s project management framework on selected programmes in the capacity of Project Manager and/or Project Associate. This includes both operational and technical aspects of the project (including but not limited to financial management, compliance and due diligence, risk management).
· Manage subcontracts and third-party vendor contracts to address contractual and payment matters as needed.
· Maintain various systems and databases ensuring accurate information on projects at all times.
Essential Criteria:
· Ability to learn and apply complex program procedures with exceptional attention to detail.
· Strong technical writing skills, and the ability to convey technical information in a clear and easily accessible format, in support of programme delivery and business development.
· Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients, and consultants.
· Financial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret financial reports.
· Ability to travel and work in developing countries for extended periods of time if needed.
· Strong editing skills and demonstrated competence using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Desirable Criteria:
· Track record in contributing to business development initiatives for donor-funded programmes, ideally in the economic growth space.
· Experience working on FCDO or other donor funded programmes.
· Professional working proficiency in another language, with priority given to Spanish, French, Portuguese and Arabic.
