Employing nearly 50 people they design, manufacture, assemble, test, and ship bespoke machinery from their new, world-class facility. They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated, high precision, bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries their main markets include the medical and scientific sectors. They have long-standing agreements with some of the most renowned manufacturers in their sector, with a growing order book, and an excellent pipeline the future is looking exciting. This opportunity has arisen due to growth, and an increased demand from new and existing customers to purchase service plans for both new and existing machines that are currently in operation. Requirements What the Role Will Involve: 50% of the role will be travel. This will typically involve: Installing and commissioning of new machines. Pre-planned service of existing machines. Attending breakdowns of machines. Getting involved with project work to upgrade existing machines. 50% will be in the manufacturing facility. This will typically involve: Working with the engineering team to prepare and execute the factory acceptance test (FAT). Completing the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and accepting the machine from engineering prior to shipping. Working with sales and after-market to plan services in. What we are Looking in a Candidate Time-served, mechanical engineering background. Service engineer experience with good customer facing skills and experience. Excellent communication skills as you are customer facing. Ideally with a formal qualification – e.g C&G / NVQ / ONC – although not essential. Happy to travel globally. Can read engineering drawings, including schematics, layout drawings etc. Full product training will be given. This role could be perfect for an engineer leaving the armed forces.
