The Role
We are seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing team. This role involves conducting fire risk assessments in a variety of properties nationwide, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, and providing expert recommendations. You will also play a key role in identifying necessary remedial actions, advising clients, and helping to implement fire safety strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct fire risk assessments, audits, and inspections in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.
2. Produce detailed reports with findings, recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Provide technical fire safety advice to clients and assist in developing fire safety strategies.
4. Identify required remedial actions for fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation to ensure compliance.
5. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to support fire safety compliance.
6. Stay updated on fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant British Standards.
7. Nationwide travel will be required, with infrequent overnight stays. All expenses will be paid.
Requirements:
1. Minimum Level 3 or 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., IFE, FPA, or IFSM).
2. Proven experience conducting fire risk assessments in a professional capacity.
3. Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and remedial works.
4. Experience working within social housing, healthcare, education, or commercial settings is desirable.
5. Ability to write clear and concise reports with risk-based justifications.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide expert fire safety advice to clients.
7. Full UK driving licence (this role requires travel).
