ELECTRICAL DESIGN PROJECT ENGINEER
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Project Engineer to join our team in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for the plan, build, and coordination of all aspects associated with the manufacture, rental, servicing, and maintenance of our product range.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, and certification bodies to ensure client requirements are met.
* Work with internal engineering personnel to meet output expectations.
* Assist with design and apply modifications to products in accordance with client requirements and statutory regulations.
* Identify required services, equipment, or materials for product build, module rental, sale-from-fleet, or small sales.
* Liaise with sales personnel to produce quotes and tenders.
* Gather technical information for product manufacture, module rental, sale-from-fleet, or small sales.
* Update drawings and documentation associated with product manufacture and project design.
* Be 'hands on' to assist product build as necessary to achieve client delivery requirements.
* Maintain registers and filing systems according to company procedures.
* Distribute drawings and documentation internally and externally.
* Produce material requisitions for the Procurement Team.
* Liaise with operations personnel for technical and hands-on support.
* Report on work status internally and externally.
* Update and maintain systems and records for product manufacture, rental assets, and periodic maintenance.
* Attend client, external, and internal meetings.
* Provide demonstrations of module operation to clients and third parties.
* Provide fault-finding assistance to workshop and clients.
Requirements:
* Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of ATEX Standard design and manufacturing competency.
* Ability to modify and produce drawings using AutoCAD.
* Knowledge of statutory requirements governing hazardous area equipment.
* Ability to utilise Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to fault find electrical & pneumatic circuits to component level.
* Understanding of high voltage installation and grid connection work (preferable but not essential).
* Effective interpersonal skills.
* Calm under pressure and effective in meeting deadlines.
