Main Duties of the Job
As part of our recruitment plan for the Community Nursing service, we are implementing a band 5 position. This is an exciting opportunity for any band 5 nurse looking for a place to start or an opportunity to try something different. This unique opportunity within the Community Division will allow you to enhance and develop your skills across a range of different areas.

About Us
Canterbury Ward is our community-based rehabilitation ward located at Chase Farm Hospital, supporting patients who require a low level of rehabilitation. The ward is nurse-led and supported by a multi-disciplinary team, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
Capetown is our community-based ward, also located at Chase Farm, focusing on medically optimized patients requiring additional support for discharge. The ward is supported by a multi-disciplinary team of advanced clinical practitioners, therapists, and a general practitioner.
This post is based in The Ridgeway, Enfield, EN2 8JL.
Job Responsibilities
* Assess patient care needs and develop and implement programmes of patient care, participating in the evaluation of these.
* Carry out all relevant forms of care to designated patients and supervise learner nurses and Health Care Support Workers.
* Care and control of medication and controlled drugs used for patient care, ensuring safe administration and maintenance of stock.
* Work with the Trust/unit and ward policies to maintain professional, clinical, and patient safety.
* Acquire the knowledge and expertise to take appropriate action in emergency situations and attend mandatory update sessions.

* Registered Nurse
* Relevant professional development/academic qualification for practice area
* Working towards a degree

Experience
* Experience as a Staff Nurse
* Experience of working within a team
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
