Applications are now welcome for a Pricing Trade and Sales Support Assistant to join our Commercial Team based at Head Office. This role will report to the Head of Revenue and Sales.
Overview
This role plays a crucial support part in the commercial team, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction within the travel trade sector. This multifaceted position involves managing and resolving travel trade inquiries, auditing, and ensuring revenue integrity of bookings, and supporting the administration of key contracts and relationships with tour operators, corporate clients, and SME customers.
Key Responsibilities
The main activities that will be carried out by the Pricing, Trade and Sales Support Assistant include the below. As would be expected the below is not exhaustive and reasonable responsibilities not listed below will be carried out, with training and support provided where required.
* Manage incoming product/fare/booking enquiries from the travel trade and provide appropriate, timely responses.
* Troubleshoot travel trade issues, and in conjunction with Pricing and Distribution Exec, take necessary steps to remedy and improve processes.
* Audit GDS bookings from a revenue integrity perspective and recover any non-collection of charges / under collection of payments.
* Assist with the administration of tour operator and corporate contracts with the trade and manage direct booking access/training for SME customers.
* Support the Sales team with event organization and management of marketing/sales collateral.
* Maintain trade email database, and prepare content/copy for email distribution.
* Maintain and update the Loganair trade support online help pages.
* Develop and assist with the management of Loganair’s fares loading in their selling system, and externally with ATPCo (training would be provided if required).
Skills and Knowledge
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Travel industry experience and knowledge of GDS systems and travel agency administration/processes.
Requirements
* Equivalent work experience in a similar role within the travel or airline industry would be considered.
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales, pricing, or customer service role within the airline, travel, or tourism industry is highly desirable. Experience with GDS and familiarity with fare management and revenue integrity processes is a plus.
