DDaT Pay Supplement
This post attracts a £5000 Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 3 months DDaT competency qualifying period. The payment will be backdated to your start date in the role. Pay supplements are temporary payments designed to address recruitment and retention issues caused by market pressures and are subject to regular review. This post is part of the Scottish Government DDaT profession. As a member of the profession you will join the professional development system, currently BCS Role Mode plus.
Main Duties
• Develop, maintain, and enhance the security architecture strategy to address emerging threats and challenges.
• Design and implement effective security solutions tailored to protect the organisation’s data and systems.
• Provide expert security advice and recommend approaches across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and identify the security tools and technologies necessary for the agency's operations.
• Advise on significant security-related technologies and assess associated risks with proposed changes.
• Manage and update security baseline controls in line with information systems and data requirements.
• Inspire and influence teams on the importance of security principles while reviewing peers’ work and providing mentorship.
