Hire Desk Plant Coordinator - Civils & Groundworks Contractor
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Hire Desk Plant Coordinator to join our team in Knowsley. As part of a leading Civils & Groundworks Contractor, you will play a key role in managing the hire and movement of plant, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate the hire, off-hire, and logistics of plant and equipment.
2. Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery and collection.
3. Maintain accurate records of plant usage and hire agreements.
4. Negotiate hire rates and agreements to achieve cost efficiencies.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.
6. Assist with general administration and support for the plant department.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a hire desk, plant coordination, or logistics role within construction or groundworks.
2. Strong organisational and communication skills.
3. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hire management software (desirable).
5. A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
