The Opportunity:
Prospecting and developing new leads. Liaising with existing and potential clients to build relations. Achieve a set sales target in line with company goals. Deliver sales strategies to develop new business opportunities further. Focused on account development of existing accounts and new business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation: Identify and prospect new business opportunities through direct phone contact. Managing new opportunities from lead via marketing.
2. Client Acquisition: Present the company’s products/services to potential clients, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
3. Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Instigate meetings onsite and offsite to ensure products and services are fully conveyed.
4. Market Insight: Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities. Conduct market analysis and report.
5. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a business development strategy aligning with the company’s growth goals.
6. Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to align efforts and maximise new business opportunities.
7. Reporting: Provide the Head of Sales with regular reports and forecasts on sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Demonstrable experience in business development and technical sales - preferably UPS sales.
2. A track record of acquiring new clients and consistently meeting sales targets.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers.
4. Strong analytical skills to identify market trends and customer needs.
5. Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
6. Demonstrable CRM experience (preferably Zoho) and other business development tools.
7. Ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans.
8. Good presentation skills, able to present to clients.
9. Flexibility for travel to client visits.
