We are searching for an experienced Manager - Corporate Simplification Team. Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Corporate Simplification Restructuring Advisory team. You will have the opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across corporate reorganisations and Members Voluntary Liquidations within the team. The primary focus of the role is based in London; however, we operate a national practice, so the successful candidate could be located anywhere in the UK and work alongside Partners/Directors throughout the country.
The role will involve attending marketing events and working with the Partners and Directors to help them with their marketing and business objectives. The position encourages growth and career development, with a clear path of progression.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory obligations, and confirm arrangements with the client or company including likely costs and billing arrangements.
2. Work closely alongside other Corporate Simplification staff to plan and execute assignments, and manage cases in accordance with the Firm’s standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations.
3. Assist and support the Corporate Simplification team and provide training and support to colleagues within the team.
4. Prepare and seek approval of engagement letters, ancillary documents, and take on procedures.
5. Complete KPI’s for Partner/Director approval.
6. Ensure assigned diary lines are completed in accordance with RA compliance standards.
7. Review and approve documents across IPS and Virtual Cabinet.
8. General case administration including raising bills.
9. Understand the projects in their entirety alongside the Partner/Director and other RSM Tax, Accounting, and Legal teams.
10. Attend initial meetings with the client and other RSM staff.
11. Analyse and challenge information received from the client.
12. Manage large corporate entity reduction projects.
13. Take responsibility for asset realisations and distributions to members.
14. Prepare statutory reports.
15. Contribute to the team’s development through significant/extensive networking and technical skills.
Personal and Professional Qualities:
Our new colleague will be CPI or JIEB qualified with previous experience in a similar role and be able to perform a lead role in Members Voluntary Liquidations. We require an individual with very good quality technical, analytical, and report writing abilities as well as strong interpersonal skills. To be successful in this position you will also need to have:
1. Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients.
2. Proven experience of either preparation of financial information or the ability to analyse the information.
3. Experience in Corporate Simplification or in a similar role.
4. Strong organisational and time management skills.
5. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
6. Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.
7. ACA or similar qualified would be an advantage.
