Purpose of Job:
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.
The Technical Delivery Manager will work within Zest’s Operations team to manage multiple EV projects from inception to completion, across the UK. Reporting into the Operations Director & Snr management team, the Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the smooth end-to-end installation of our EV charge point installations according to our client’s requirements and ensuring a smooth transition to business as usual. Our deployment program is focused on providing exceptional customer experience from day one.
The role works closely with the Sales & Project management team, landowners, local authorities, and clients, as well as numerous local third-party pre-approved contractors to make our installs happen.
Key Accountabilities:
The role is responsible for the following:
* Project managing the end-to-end installation of our client’s charge point requirements, including a wide knowledge of various installation methodologies focusing on HV and LV network operators’ requirements, with a good understanding of the DNO & iDNO processes.
* A good knowledge of civil and electrical construction practices in public and private construction environments.
* Coordinating key internal and external partners, including third-party contractors, to deliver quality, on time and at the agreed cost.
* Development and delivery of commercially viable EV charging solutions at pace and in line with our wider goals and objectives.
* Working with other key parties to ensure Zest is continuously working to improve how we do business.
* Support the Operations and Technical Directors and other local/regional stakeholders to develop the deployment strategy and lead the technical implementation of sites within your region.
* Reporting on progress of sites and installations within remit.
* Supporting, coaching, and developing Technical Delivery Managers and more junior members of the team.
* Lead the technical input into each site design to maximise opportunities for the customer.
* Plus, any other duties as required by the leadership team.

Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience of project management.
* BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations and EVCP installation code of practice.
* HV & LV experience; a background in this industry will be beneficial.
* EV equipment knowledge.
* Civil and street works experience.
* Knowledge/awareness of the building and CDM regulations.
* H&S experience.
* IT skills and Excel knowledge.
* General commercial awareness.
* A good level of numeracy and attention to detail.
