We’re looking for an experienced manager to oversee our existing clinics in Barnsley and Dewsbury with exciting plans to expand the region with the addition of a new clinic opening in Sheffield in January 2026. About the Role In this fast-paced position, the right candidate will play an integral role in improving established clinics and opening new sites in the Yorkshire area. As an Area Practice Manager your main role will consist of ensuring all sites operate efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care. Based primarily at our 24/7 Barnsley hospital, with regular travel to our Dewsbury clinic, you will also oversee the development of new clinics in the region planned for 2026, supporting our mission to provide affordable veterinary healthcare to pets in the Yorkshire area. Key Responsibilities Provide strong supportive line management to Vets, Nurses and Support staff building a positive and high-performing team culture. Line management responsibility will extend to practice managers in the region as it continues to grow. Accountability for the financial performance of all sites including - a strong understanding of P&L management, KPI's and cost control. Drive an outstanding client journey, ensuring seamless service and operational efficiency. Work closely with the clinical team to uphold high clinical standards and best practices. Lead the area expansion managing the transformation of Barnsley into a 24/7 hospital and overseeing the introduction of new sites. Accountability for staffing levels and rota management ensuring productivity amongst the teams. On-call rota to support the out of hours teams, particularly at weekends and Bank Holidays. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in management and leading multi-site teams. Financial acumen, including experience with driving profitability. Background in health care or similar sectors (veterinary experience is advantageous but not essential). A passion for delivering high quality client care and improving client journeys. Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple locations. Strong experience in line management with the ability to coach, develop, and support teams effectively. A clean drivers license - company mileage will be covered.
