Description Job Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and measuring the Public Relations program across the Charles Stanley Group. You will collaborate with a specialist PR agency to manage all aspects of the company’s PR agenda, effectively communicating our corporate narrative and proactively increasing our share of voice. In addition to providing strategic communications advice and expertise, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s brand reputation and professional standing. This is a fixed-term appointment for a period of 12 months. Key Areas of Responsibility: Oversee the company’s media profile. Deliver a communications program, with agency support, to convey the Charles Stanley corporate narrative to key trade, financial, and consumer media audiences. Operate a highly effective day-to-day communications and media relations function. Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to drive engaging, consistent, and relevant content to identified target audience groups. Plan, deliver, and measure innovative PR campaigns and initiatives. Serve as the internal expert and go-to person on PR and communication-related issues. Build strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders. Brief internal spokespeople and provide media training where appropriate to ensure message consistency. Identify and pre-empt issues that pose a reputational risk to the company or employee engagement, and develop plans to mitigate them. Qualifications & Experience: Relevant qualifications/degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a similar discipline are desirable but not essential. Proven experience working as a communications specialist at a senior level, either in an agency or in-house, preferably in financial or professional services (7 years). Knowledge & Skills: Proficient in developing, implementing, and delivering communication strategies. Experience working closely with senior management and other key stakeholders. Exceptional copywriting and editing skills. Organised, calm, and confident, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail. Enthusiastic with a hands-on and helpful approach. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented ethos.
