ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate Registered Service Manager to join our team and manage the day-to-day operation of the Post 16 provisions and ensure the homes are operating at a consistently high standard. You will have support from multiple managers such as HR, Placements Officer, Business Development Manager and Deputy Manager.
You will be the lead for preparing for Ofsted inspections, ensuring that all documentation and practices are up to date and compliant as well as completing reg 32 reports. You will monitor and evaluate the quality of the provisions, making improvements where necessary.

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER US
* Extensive experience of working within supported accommodation for 16- to 25-year-olds.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted and Supported Accommodation regulations.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to line manage a team.
* Ability to manage a rota ensuring staff are provided with a work life balance.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Ability to coach staff to ensure we provide high quality support.
* Skilled in time and work management, able to prioritise tasks as necessary.
SKILLS REQUIRED
It is essential that you have experience of both line management and working in a supported accommodation environment, primarily with 16- to 25-year-olds. The role is suited to someone who can manage their time well and re-prioritise daily, as and when the work changes.
Therefore, the ideal candidate must have:
* The competence and confidence to oversee and manage the homes.
* A relevant Level 5 qualification or working towards within this field (Childcare, Social Work, Youth Work).
* Level 5 Diploma in Applied Therapeutic Practice or willing to work towards.
* Experience of managing shifts as a team leader in residential or outreach services for young people.
* Experience of line management duties e.g. conducting one-to-ones, return to work meetings, appraisals, managing a rota, authorising annual leave etc.
* Minimum of 3 years of working within supported accommodation.
* Minimum of 2 years of managing staff.
* The ability to coach staff effectively to enable them to provide high quality support.
* The ability to act calmly and purposefully in crisis situations.
* The ability to prioritise effectively across a range of demands.
* The ability to create solutions in response to challenges whilst working within agreed parameters.
* The ability to communicate effectively and confidently conveying clear messages in writing or verbally.
* The ability to prepare and present reports, written and verbal.
* Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with all professional colleagues and service users.
