We are pleased to announce an exciting new role of On Train Services Team Leader. The successful candidate will concentrate on leading our front facing on board team in providing our customers with the excellent customer service needed for our world-famous railways. This person will mainly be based at Porthmadog Harbour Station but will need to work remotely on trains and from other locations to effectively oversee standards.
We can offer you:
£11.98 per hour rising to £12.64 per hour from 1st April 2025
Seasonal contract from 1st March 2025 to 2nd January 2026
Full time hours; approx. 40 hours per week with some seasonal variance
The pro rata equivalent of 28 days paid holiday, inclusive of all bank and public holidays

The ideal candidate will have team leadership or supervisory experience and hospitality experience of working in customer facing roles. This is a hands on role, the successful candidate will be expected to steward on board both Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway services.
Core Skills:
Experience of working in hospitality
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Must be numerate and literate
Must be IT confident
A full driving licence valid in the UK is desirable for this role
The ability to speak Welsh would be a distinct advantage for this role
Knowledge of the railways and their passengers; and the local area would be an advantage
