Based in Manchester, the Social Media Producer for City Studios US will be responsible for creating social first video content for our US audience. The person must be full of actionable ideas that can excite and engage our existing fanbase and new audiences, drawing from both our football resources and wider culture to create compelling content.
1. Responsible for ideation and execution of social-first video content for Man City’s US audience. The content must excite and engage, not just through maximising our football footage but by finding stories and trends from our fanbase and wider culture.
2. Develop a content calendar that will deliver audience growth and drive content KPIs, including active users and engagement from existing and new fans.
3. Develop a network of contacts to help supercharge Man City’s growth in the US. This might include creators, influencers, rightsholders, broadcasters and fans from the world of football and beyond.
4. Build strong relationships with the City Studios editorial in the UK, driving knowledge sharing and learnings that will benefit the wider Manchester City brand.
5. Work with the wider marketing team to ensure that editorial content in the US is working seamlessly with our wider marketing strategies.
What we are looking for
* Demonstrable evidence of creating outstanding social video content to drive audience growth.
* A deep understanding of what content gets audiences engaged particularly when targeting a US audience.
* A deep understanding of production / content creation.
* A deep understanding of the social media landscape and individual social platforms.
* Experience of editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
* High editorial standards and judgement.
* Community management knowledge and experience.
* Brand and commercial awareness.
* Highly organised with attention to detail.
* Experience of working in a publishing environment.
* Track record of creativity.
* Ability to work within and accommodate US time zones.
* Knowledge of American sporting culture.
* Experience of managing large sports social media accounts.
* Media law knowledge.
* English and Spanish speaker.
* Presenting skills.
* Experience of appealing to/working within a US market.
