(Pension 25 Days Holiday) Hours: Mon to Fri (37 Hours a week) Duration: Permanent Benefits: Company Pension 25 Days Holiday Overtime Pay A manufacturing company in Swansea has an immediate position available for a Senior Project Engineer to join its experienced office engineering team. This rapidly expanding company manufactures bespoke machinery for British and foreign customers in the oil, gas and petro-chemical industries. The role involves taking control of multiple demanding projects from order stage through to completion, carrying out the following responsibilities. Main Responsibilities • Control engineering projects from order placement to data dossier submission. Interpret customer design requirements from data sheets, drawings, and specifications. • Visit customer sites for visual / dimensional surveys or meetings. • Produce or check detailed fabrication drawings using 2D AutoCAD and/or 3D Solidworks software. • Produce or check mechanical design calculations using design software, spreadsheets, or hand calculations in conformity with international design codes and customer specifications. • Produce quality control documentation. • Prepare requisitions materials and organise sub-contractor services. • Produce project schedules and monitor project progress • Liaise with customers, inspectors and third-party personnel on and off site. Requirements • Degree Qualification in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • A competent user of Solidworks 3D and/or AutoCAD 2D software • A competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project. • Knowledge of ASME, PD5500, BS1113 or EN 12952 design codes and / or experience of producing design calculations for pressure equipment would be beneficial. • Experience in a similar role controlling projects for manufacture of pressure equipment • Highly motivated with strong communication, organisation and multi-tasking skills To Apply This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leader in its field and the position will offer job security as well as further development opportunities for the right person.
