Your role and responsibilities
To deliver transformative green access improvements through the Sizewell C Public Rights of Way (PRoW) Fund. In this £3m project management role, you'll scope and implement new shared-use trails along Suffolk's coast, enhance existing routes, and oversee information, signage and promotion initiatives.
You'll negotiate with stakeholders including local authorities, landowners, developers and community groups on proposals to develop new, and improve existing, PRoW. You'll arrange all works, organising quotes, awarding contracts, and managing contractors to deliver high-quality PRoW schemes in line with Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
Working closely with the PRoW and Access Definitive Map team, you'll coordinate network changes and provide regular updates. Part of this role will see you attend meetings and liaise with various stakeholders providing advice and information on rights of way and access matters.
This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on Suffolk's public access network while managing complex stakeholder relationships.
You will need
* a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline/or equivalent experience
* excellent project management skills and experience
* excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills
* demonstrable budget management experience
* to be highly self-motivated, capable of managing your own workload effectively within a team environment
* a genuine commitment to improving access to the natural environment thinking of creative opportunities to improve, enable and encourage countryside access.
* to be able to read, draw and interpret maps at varying scales
* experience of legal processes and regulations, with very good political awareness.
The team
This new post is in the Green Access team, part of the Rights of Way & Access team. The post holder will have the specific role of delivering green access improvements included within the Sizewell C Public Rights of Way Fund.
