The Berkshire & Surrey Pathology Services Cytology department based at St Peter's Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic member of staff to join our busy HPV cytology admin team.
The successful candidate will:
Work alongside a busy admin team located in the Pathology suite at St Peter's Hospital
Be a key part of the team supporting admin for HPV primary testing service that delivers cervical screening across the South East and South Central screening regions.
Be used to working in a busy environment and meeting clearly defined productivity targets.
Previous experience of working in a Pathology admin team or other NHS post would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
Maintain the operation of the BSPS NHSCSP failsafe system by ensuring that failsafe searches are run as required and that patient failsafe status is investigated and acted upon.
Perform routine office/reception duties as required in the Cytology department.
To fulfil the role of Failsafe operator in the provision of the BSPS NHSCSP failsafe system
To provide administrative and clerical support for MDT meetings related to the National Gynae Cytology Screening programme area covered by BSPS.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will:
Run the monthly failsafe search on the Winpath Enterprise LIMS.
Investigating each patients failsafe status including liaising with the representatives of other organisations as necessary.
Updating Winpath database with findings
Entering patient details onto a computer.
Liaise with Colposcopy clinics in other organisations and GP surgeries to investigate patients failsafe status.
To provide administrative and clerical support for MDT meetings related to the National Gynae Cytology Screening programme area covered by BSPS.
This post is a full time position of hours per week.

7. GCSEs to include Maths and English or NVQ to level 2.
