Here in the UK, our Marine Business was recognised as “business of the year” at the Mersey Maritime awards and is experiencing a sustained period of rapid expansion. We’re therefore seeking applications from candidates with a desire to develop and progress their career within our Electronic and Embedded Systems Capability.
This capability works across the systems engineering vee cycle, utilising a range of Agile and Lean technologies to drive operational delivery and technical assurance for our clients. Whether we’re researching the potential of future technologies, developing high integrity software, undertaking FPGA design or consulting on System Safety integration, our proven capability assures some of the UKs most unique and challenging solution and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Our Electronics and Embedded Systems Capability works on varied projects including distributed simulations, 3D visualisation and training environments, sensor processing and environmental and acoustic modelling. As Senior Software Developer, you’ll work with product and project teams on the design, implementation, test and integration of software artefacts to support the delivery of projects and products. Your day-to-day tasks will include the following activities:
* Design of software components and interfaces
* Implementation and testing of software
* Integration of software within system/product
* Diagnosis and remediation of faults identified within software
* Mentoring and supporting junior developers within the team
* Define and agree software work packages (scope, estimates, costs)
* Define software elements of solutions to support bids and enquiries
* Identification and mitigation of technical risks
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electronic engineering or related science subject or Equivalent Qualification coupled with Appropriate Experience
* Membership of IET or equivalent Engineering Institution
Essential skills
* Essential technical skills include recent experience of C#
* An enthusiasm for exploring and effectively exploiting new technologies
