A loving 6 year oldy girl with very manageable ALN and limited speech from Whitland requires a Personal Assistant for 6 hours per week for school holidays. She is fully potty trained, fun and enthusiastic and loves being outdoors, going to parks, forests and outdoors activities plus going to soft play if weather is bad. She is a very friendly happy girl and well behaved. She has no sense of danger so must be supervised at all times but take instructions very well. Some sounds may make her a bit agitated so a calming voice is needed to reassure her. She still wears nappies so personal care will be needed when out with her.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Taking the employer on outdoor activities, going to parks, forests or soft play.
Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence
Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills
To provide companionship in the employer’s home, including engaging in conversation with them and providing them with social interaction
Encouraging the employer to attend appointments
Ensuring the employer’s safety at all times during your working hours because she has no sense of danger.
To carry out any other reasonable tasks that are requested by the employer during your working hours
To ensure compliance with Data Protection Act.

Be responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should the employer need medical assistance.

Job Working Environment:
Working in employer’s homes and supporting them to access facilities and community activities.

9. A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is likely to be required. This is determined by the needs of the employer and whether you live within walking distance.
10. You must be prepared to have business use on your vehicle insurance to be able to use the vehicle within work hours
11. Be prepared to undergo training in order to best meet the employers need.
