Job Advert The Haven Wolverhampton supports women and children fleeing domestic abuse and homelessness, the women and children we support are at the heart of all we do. We believe our services should focus on achieving the aspirations of every individual and be tailored to meet their needs and unique circumstances. We offer a range of services, including a helpline, accommodation, support for those living in the local community, advocacy and advice, specialist programmes, counselling, and children’s services. Our staff are fully trained and have expertise to ensure we can support women and children across the different services we offer. Job Purpose To develop and deliver the DeconstructED programme to Children and Young People aged 9-18 years old within educational and youth group settings. Grounded in the principles of recognising and addressing the power imbalance between men and women, taking a positive approach to understanding transformative masculinities and the roles we can play in challenging and ending violence against women and girls (VAWG). DeconstructED is a dynamic workshop series developed by The Haven Wolverhampton to spark honest, critical conversations around masculinity, toxic gender norms, and healthy relationships. Through engaging activities and relatable dialogue, young people are supported to unpack harmful stereotypes, explore what healthy masculinity can look like, and build empathy, confidence, and emotional intelligence. Delivered by both male and female facilitators, the sessions create safe spaces for self-reflection and powerful connection.
