Job Description:
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an organised Project Assistant to support the Rail Division Projects Team in what is already a very busy division of Tidyco Ltd with a turnover in excess of £6 million p.a.
The purpose of the role is to support the Project Manager by contributing to the effective and successful delivery of key tasks and deliverables of the Rail Division projects. You will interface with sales, engineering and production, gaining valuable experience in the full project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Project Management within the rail industry with the possibility to develop your career further.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake specific tasks on identified Rail Division projects under the supervision of the Project Manager, contributing to the effective delivery of Tidyco’s work.
* Assist the Project Manager with the preparation, logging, and updating of project plans and schedules to support effective project planning and meet customer requirements.
* Update and maintain key project documentation, such as Excel tracking spreadsheets and Project Management Plans, to ensure accurate records.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing internal and external reports and documentation.
* Support the Project Manager with customer liaison, including day-to-day enquiries, technical queries, etc.
* Assist the Project Manager in preparing for and following up on project review meetings, both internally and with the customer, and assist with customer visits.
* Support the Project Manager with risk management by updating risks and issues logs.
* Liaise with the sales team on any commercial requirements.
* Facilitate communication between departments to foster effective collaboration among team members.
* Support the Project Manager with administrative tasks, including printing materials needed to support projects.
* Act as stand-in for the Project Manager when required.
