Key responsibilities
To identify, recruit and onboard vendors onto Retail Media, acting as a subject matter expert to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and platform migration. Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders to capitalise on investment opportunities and execute the retail media strategy.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
* Deliver vendor recruitment goals and strategy for assigned categories/ brands/ vendors.
* Prioritise vendor prospects to optimise against financial targets.
* Create and lead pitches to potential vendors showcasing the opportunity and potential to work with B&Q.
* Negotiate investment budgets with vendors working with Commercial teams to identify opportunities.
* Manage end to end vendor onboarding, including account set up, platform integrations and training.
* Identify opportunities to optimise vendor onboarding through determining root causes and identifying solutions.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the digital market and retail media, seeking continuous improvement and a strong understanding of industry best practise.
* Influence internal and external stakeholders to drive change and improve vendor retail media.
* Engage and build relationships with vendors to plan both media and promotional activities across the assortment to achieve join financial goals by driving opportunities to maximise investment potential.
* Developing understanding of sub-category dynamics in the market, spotting trends and develop category strategy to grow the vendors business.
* Coordinate with other internal teams to ensure adequate support in areas like commercial, supply chain, finance, digital and marketing; ensure changes in our business create win-win scenarios for B&Q and our vendors.
* Analyse and prepare weekly performance figures for the leadership team, play an active role in weekly and monthly business reviews.
* Work cross-functionally to ensure vendors can run their businesses smoothly and effectively on the platform.

* Professional experience negotiating with sellers/suppliers and influencing internal and external stakeholders
* Experience growing online sales, marketing, activating categories and driving traffic via merchandising/content
* Innovative problem-solving skills; dissecting root causes of problems and implementing solutions
* Strong business judgment backed by analytical mindset and comfort generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses
* Resilience and attention to detail
