Job Advert Role Description
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administration:
1. Complete any administration tasks as required, such as Purchase Orders
2. Arrange patient/staff transport when required
3. Guest/contractor/supplier sign in documentation
4. Ensuring the correct visitor/security paperwork is completed
Front of House:
5. Answering phone calls and dealing with any queries that may arise whilst also signposting the caller in the right direction to respective departments
6. Booking in visitors, families and professionals visiting the hospital
7. Redirecting and handling mail. Assist with deliveries ensuring no risk items
8. Ensuring the Reception area is maintained to a clean, tidy and professional standard
Other ADHOC duties:
Any other ad-hoc duties requested by management or staff, such as:
9. Stationary orders
10. Organisation of stationary cupboards
11. Speaking to third party suppliers in regards to booking in site visits
12. Handovers to other Receptionist (if applicable) to ensure correct and up to date information is relayed and passed on at the end of your shift
13. Ensuring the correct Risk Assessments have been completed and up to date in the Reception/Front of House area
14. Ensuring the correct insurance, CQC and Ofsted (if applicable) certificate are up to date
15. Liaising with Wards if any incoming calls coming in that are patient or ward specific
16. Ensuring up to date forms and policies are being used within the Reception department
17. You will be expected to provide cover and support to the wider team and site as and when needed
Applicants must be able to commit to the following working pattern:
Week 1:
Monday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Friday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Week 2:
Friday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Saturday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Sunday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Week 3:
Monday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Tuesday 1pm - 8pm (6.5 hours paid)
Friday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Week 4:
Friday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Saturday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Sunday 7am - 8pm (12.2 hours paid)
Knowledge - The post holder ideally will have knowledge of administration tasks and have the relevant skill set in order to deal with fast incoming tasks and duties.

Communications - Communication within the role is vital and plays a big part in your daily tasks. Within your role, you will speak with patients, both inpatient and outpatient (if applicable), colleagues from all departments, managers and third parties.
