About the Role:
Our Joiners are responsible for the highest standard of maintenance which includes Reactive, Planned Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance Services supporting the venues in the East Hub Geographical Area:
- Leeds First Direct Bank Arena
- Newcastle Utilita Arena
- Hull Connexin Live
- York Barbican
The role is focused on maintaining buildings, infrastructure and equipment in compliance with statutory standards, approved codes of practice and Building Engineering Systems Association SFG Schedules of Maintenance.
The Post Holder shall take ownership of the operation, maintenance and service of all building services, infrastructure and equipment in order to plan work/services to maximise reliability and availability thereby maintaining environmental conditions and standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Multi trade skilled joiner, capable of completing works in other construction trades including patching, plastering, wall and floor tiling and minor groundwork activities.
* Repair/renew/maintain fire doors to current Fire Safety Standards.
* Repair/renew doors and door casing, skirting, handrails, balustrades, pipe boards and ducting panels.
* Repair/renew kitchen units, work tops and decorative finishes.
* Repair/replace/fit ironmongery to doors and windows.
* Install/repair studding, partition walls, T and G or sheet flooring.
* Repair/renew timber and UPVC window frames.
* Support project development and delivery across all departments.
* Support the development and utilise use of a CAFM system as directed to track and coordinate all maintenance activities, both planned and reactive. Receiving, updating and closing off requests and maintaining records.
* Promote a positive health and safety culture and ensure all work activities comply with ASM Global Health and Safety policies and procedures (including environment and safe systems of work policies). Including:
o Undertaking, developing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements for work in which the role involves.
o Completing incident forms for accidents or near misses or events which require reporting.
o Remaining vigilant of unforeseen hazards and risks to oneself and others.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Carpentry & Joinery (7906) - City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 Joinery.
* 3 Years post qualification experience of undertaking Building Maintenance in Commercial / Industrial sector.
* Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
* Understanding of Fire Door Maintenance.
* Full UK Driving License.
Please Note: The role requires full flexibility with travel around the hub locations advertised Monday to Friday as per the needs of the business. In some circumstances there may be a requirement to work evenings and/or weekends.
