Job Overview
We’re looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team supporting academy schools in Bradford, Leeds, and Kirklees. You’ll help drive school improvement and culture change through ‘high challenge, high support’ professional HR advice across the full employee life-cycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead on-site HR colleagues to ensure excellent HR practice within the academies.
2. Work closely with the Regional Director, Executive Headteachers, and Headteachers to review each academy’s HR strategy and support the implementation of changes.
3. Manage complex employee relations cases and trade union relations.
4. Facilitate organisational development and upskill line managers in HR management practice.
5. Support casework, deliver training, shape policies and procedures, and lead on HR workstreams.
Qualifications
CIPD qualified (or equivalent), you must have depth & breadth of experience advising and delivering on a wide range of employee issues, including absence management, recruitment & retention, and highly complex casework within the public sector.

Additional Information
Although based mainly in the Bradford / Leeds area, occasional travel to other academies (including Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, and Merseyside) will be required. Own transport is desirable, and a willingness to travel and work flexibly (with due notice) is essential.
