Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Used Sales Manager to join the management team at our Honda and Listers U Dealership in Northampton. The sales weighting is 2:1 in favour of Listers U over Honda, with a key focus on continuing the growth of our Listers U (non-franchise) sales.
The hours of work are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a day off in the week. Additionally, you will work 9am to 5pm on Saturdays, with one Saturday off per month on a rota basis, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays (1 in 2).
We have dedicated teams for each sales channel and have achieved 100% growth in the Listers U sales channel during 2024. With an off-site compound and approximately 70 display spaces on-site (stocking an average of 100 Used Cars), this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Used Car Manager to showcase their potential on a larger scale than their current role allows. Previous experience in a Used Car Sales Manager role or similar would be preferred, although not essential if you can demonstrate the knowledge required for the role.

Role and Responsibilities
* You will build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed our customers' expectations; ensuring that our customers' buying experience is industry-leading. You will also be accountable for handling customer queries and complaints, ensuring they are resolved effectively.
* Support the sales team in daily operations including but not limited to customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building, and closing, while ensuring that stock is kept to the company’s agreed levels.
* Drive the sales process and support the sales team in achieving their monthly KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products to ensure budgetary sales/profit forecasts are achieved.
* Accurate completion of all paperwork and providing reports on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
* Ensure that the sales team accurately and vigorously collects all customer contact and vehicle data to maximize the quality and content of the customer database (adhering to the Company’s FCA obligations).
About you
* You may be an existing sales manager, sales controller, or retail manager looking for a new challenge or better career and reward opportunities.
* You will have the drive and talent to push the department forward; working to achieve agreed KPIs and brand standards.
* You must be able to demonstrate a profitable and successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
* In addition, you need to have strong management and leadership skills, a winning mentality, and a real passion for the brand.
* Motor trade, automotive, or car dealership experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
