Are you an experienced Registered Manager within the children's service looking for work in Cheshire?
Winner Education are seeking a registered manager to work within the children's service to work with a school that provides independent special educational needs placements. This role is a full-time temp to perm position to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate must have previous experience within SEN support, and you must enjoy working with children you support and strive to ensure each child can achieve their true potential.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week - including flexible evening and weekend hours as and when required
START DATE: ASAP
SALARY: £48,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

Main Purpose of Job:
To be registered with Ofsted and as such, be legally responsible and accountable for the effective and safe running of the service. The registered manager is accountable for delivering high-quality care to the children and young people who reside within the children's service. They are responsible for the delivery of all care services, as well as strategic planning within the home and the day-to-day management of the service.
The registered manager will demonstrate the ability to maintain and expand on the well-established principles and practice standards which exist within the iMap organisation and the service whilst proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of childcare services. The registered manager must work in unison with the positive behaviour support team to ensure that all practices are current, relevant and evidence-based.
In order to achieve the best outcomes for all children and young people who use the service, the registered manager will ensure that the home is managed effectively and efficiently and is maintained in a warm, caring and homely manner. This involves being personally available, performing staff supervisions, mentorship, conflict resolution, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care-focused training and accessing appropriate services.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for all staff working to enrich the lives of the children and young people in our care by understanding their specific needs, empowering them with new skills and helping them to aspire towards their goals and dreams.
2. Ensure the service is compliant with all relevant statutory regulations.
3. Work in conjunction with the safeguarding panel to ensure that any matters relating to child protection and safeguarding are managed in line with current legislation, national standards and safeguarding best practice.
4. Co-ordinate and access the relevant appropriate services (such as health, education or therapy) to ensure that the needs of each child and young person who uses services are met.
5. Work effectively as part of a multi-agency planning team to meet children and young people needs and maintain contact with a wide range of outside professionals, such as general practitioners, dentists, therapists etc.
6. Promote the theory and practice of social role valorisation and support the rest of the staff team to follow its core principles.
7. Have accountability for the timely and legible authorship, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of individual care plans, risk assessments and positive and proactive support plans.
8. Act as a mentor to support the senior support worker in the provision of best possible childcare and behavioural practices.
9. Implement and maintain iMap's underpinning philosophies and practice framework, ensuring that care standards are never compromised.
10. Manage referrals, assessments and admissions, ensuring compatibility and support requirements.
11. Be responsible and accountable for ensuring iMap's health & safety policies are maintained and adhered to within the service.
12. Work as part of the team rota directly supporting children and young people as and when required.
13. Participate in out of hours on-call management service.
14. The registered manager may also be required to undertake any other duties that may be required.
Conditions of Service:
This post is subject to a six-month probationary period. Annual leave is 38 days per annum including bank holidays. A company mobile phone and laptop are available. Mileage at an agreed rate is payable for business purposes.
Education, Certification & Experience:
The successful candidate must hold a QCF V Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care and a NVQ III Working with Children and Young People.
Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of interventions relating to behaviours of concern.
The successful candidate will have 4 years' experience supporting people with autism, learning difficulties/disabilities who may display behaviours of concern.
The successful candidate will have 4 years' experience in a leadership or managerial role registered with Ofsted.
