Job Description
Award-Winning London IP/Trade Mark Team Seeks Talented Lawyer Assisting with trade mark, design and copyright cases, as well other IP-related disputes, including:
1. pre-action advisory work
2. infringement and cancellation proceedings before IPEC, High Court and Patents Court (designs)
3. oppositions and cancellation proceedings at the UKIPO
4. alternative dispute resolution procedures (e.g. mediation)
5. co-ordinating foreign proceedings and liaising with overseas counsel
6. anti-counterfeiting work including Customs/Trading Standards actions, online take downs
7. domain name disputes (e.g. Nominet and UDRP)
8. Company Names Tribunal cases
9. Negotiating and drafting settlement and co-existence agreements
10. Assisting with licence and assignment agreements
11. Participate in business development
Person Specification:
Qualifications
1. Degree level education and Graduate Diploma in Law (if applicable)
2. Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC)
3. Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice, University of Oxford (desirable)
