Do you want a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? GSL Education is looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in primary and secondary schools across Lincoln. Key Responsibilities: Providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage in their learning. Working closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop individualised support plans. Managing challenging behaviour using effective de-escalation techniques. Assisting with specialist resources and equipment to aid students' development. Requirements: A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field (Level 3 Diploma or equivalent). Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, ideally within an educational or care setting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students. A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to helping young people overcome challenges. A DBS registered on the update service, or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education. Please note that this role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
