Job Title: Project Manager – Waste-to-Energy Incinerator Scheme Contract Type: 12-Month Contract Location: Malvern Company: BCS Connect Job Overview BCS Connect is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 12-month contract based in Malvern. The role involves overseeing the waste-to-energy incinerator upgrade of an existing facility. The successful candidate will act as the Principal Contractor on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, project planning, and effective subcontractor management. Key Responsibilities Principal Contractor Duties – Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring site safety and adherence to CDM regulations. Risk & Safety Management – Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), manage site inductions, and enforce site rules. Project Planning & Coordination – Follow and manage the phase plan, ensure project milestones are met, and coordinate logistics. Client & Stakeholder Management – Conduct meetings with the client, liaise with stakeholders, and act as the first point of contact for the project. Subcontractor Management – Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to specification, within budget, and on schedule. Documentation & Reporting – Maintain and manage all project paperwork, including health and safety documentation. Meetings & Communication – Conduct Teams meetings and site-based progress meetings, ensuring clear and effective communication. Candidate Requirements Essential Experience & Knowledge: Strong background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical), including hot & cold water pipework, electrical connections, and plant systems. Experience in civil engineering and energy sector projects. Proven track record of managing construction sites with strict health and safety standards. Experience managing waste-to-energy or industrial incineration projects is highly desirable. Required Qualifications: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
