Join a leading chicken processing facility as a Payroll Assistant. We are seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to support our clients Payroll/Finance department. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of their weekly payroll for employees.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Collate data and process weekly payrolls, including sickness, absence, bonus/overtime payments, holidays, and pensions.
* Handle processing of starters and leavers through the payroll programme.
* Manage and finalise holiday requests in compliance with company procedures.
* Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
* Ensure payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time.
* Update and check tax codes and support all internal and external audits related to payroll.
* Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:

* Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
* Ability to form good working relationships with all staff and managers.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Reliable, flexible, adaptable, and committed.
* Excellent understanding of the English language, both spoken and written.
Desirable:
* Previous knowledge and experience of using Sage Payroll.
* Previous payroll administrative experience.
* Full training will be provided for the role.
