Job Advert Location Description
Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.
The hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care for adults aged 18-25 years, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, specialist Eating Disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. With 78 beds across 7 wards, our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
Job Advert Role Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients experiencing a range of emotional distress.
2. Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations.
3. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure integrated and holistic care.
4. Administer and interpret psychometric tests to support diagnostic and therapeutic processes.
5. Facilitate group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based practices.
6. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
7. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified Psychologist, holding membership in a recognised professional association such as the HCPC.
2. Extensive experience in providing one-to-one therapy to clients with various emotional and psychological issues.
3. Proven expertise in conducting assessments, developing formulations, and delivering psychometric evaluations.
4. Desirable experience in facilitating group work and therapeutic interventions.
5. In-depth knowledge and experience working with adult caseloads.
