About Us:
Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intervention Teacher to join a primary school in Southport. This role involves providing targeted support in Maths and English to pupils in Year 6 and Year 1, helping them to achieve their academic potential.
The Role:
As an Intervention Teacher, you will deliver tailored sessions to small groups and individual pupils, focusing on Maths and English. Your work will play a critical role in boosting pupils' confidence, closing attainment gaps, and preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions in Maths and English for Year 6 and Year 1 pupils.
* Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
* Work closely with class teachers to align interventions with the curriculum.
* Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents on pupil progress.
* Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and enthusiasm.
* Help prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs and support Year 1 pupils in achieving their key milestones.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Maths and English in a primary school setting, ideally with experience in Year 6 and/or Year 1.
* Proven ability to plan and deliver effective interventions that improve pupil outcomes.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to supporting pupils in achieving their full potential.
