About the Role:
We are seeking a talented International Sales Manager to join our client, a leading company in the oil and gas drill bit industry, specialising in PDC drill bits. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to play a key role in expanding their market presence across Europe and Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, with the autonomy to craft your own strategies.
* Build and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored solutions.
* Lead negotiations and close deals with oil and gas operators and service companies.
* Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
* Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with market demands.
* Manage a small team of sales representatives, offering mentorship and guidance to enhance performance.
* Expand the wider business development function by identifying growth areas and new market segments.
* Monitor sales performance metrics and report progress to senior management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in selling PDC drill bits or related products within the oil and gas sector.
* 5-10 years of field sales experience, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Some experience in people management, with the ability to motivate and lead a sales team.
* Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly drilling operations.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively throughout Europe and Africa.
