About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Group Finance Manager to join our team at Oak Tree Schools Holdings Limited.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounts Department, overseeing financial accounting activities, and ensuring the accuracy of ledgers.
This is a full-time position with a competitive annual salary and a range of benefits, including company pension and 25 days' annual leave.
Main Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities of the Group Finance Manager will include:
* Management of the Accounts Department, including the management of the Capex expenditure and provision of regular updates to the Director.
* Preparation and review of regular profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as the provision of detailed analyses of results.
* Reconciliation of intercompany financial movements, prepayments, and accruals, and the monitoring and maintenance of the Group's fixed assets registers.
* Management of the rolling cash flow forecasts and the preparation of monthly cash flow reports, KPIs, and budgets.
* Analysis, understanding, and interpretation of the operational and financial performance of the business, as well as the provision of financial reports that provide insight for effective decision-making.
* Liaison with key stakeholders, including accountants, bankers, and HMRC, as well as the assistance with the administration of the monthly salaries and the Group Pension Scheme.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA or equivalent fully qualified or near-fully qualified status.
* Extensive knowledge of local laws, taxes, licenses, finance, and accounting practices, and procedures.
* Experience in a finance environment working with management accounts, as well as experience within a fast-paced and innovative environment.
* Advanced knowledge of Sage Accounts and MS Excel skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive and accessible reports.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, exceptional financial and analytical skills, and the ability to set clear goals and align job objectives to the requirements of the business.
* The ability to prioritize own workload and multitask, as well as the flexibility to work extra hours at peak times.
