The first is a luxurious hotel offering beautifully designed rooms in the heart of Edinburghs vibrant New Town. The second is a distinctive collection of premium hotel apartments blending heritage charm with contemporary style in the historic Old Town. Reservations Agent Reporting to the Reservations Manager, youll play a crucial role in crafting seamless, personalized booking experiences for our guests across both properties. As the first point of contact, youll set the tone for exceptional stays by ensuring every reservation reflects the unique charm and high standards of our flagship locations. Your contributions will support the smooth operation of the Reservations team and the delivery of memorable guest journeys. What Youll Be Doing: Proactively upsell and cross-sell services, creating elevated guest experiences while contributing to revenue growth. Serve as the first point of contact for guest inquiries, providing warm, professional, and tailored assistance that sets the tone for their stay. Collaborate with the Reservations Manager and team members to ensure processes are efficient and seamlessly executed. Highlight the distinctive features and benefits of both properties, guiding guests to choose the perfect accommodation tailored to their needs. Manage bookings with meticulous attention to detail, updating systems with accurate guest information, special requests, and preferences. Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and with professionalism, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression. Liaise with third-party booking platforms to confirm, amend, and clarify reservations, ensuring a flawless guest journey from start to finish. Keep accurate and detailed records of bookings, cancellations, and guest profiles in the property management system to uphold operational excellence. Support the Reservations Manager by monitoring occupancy, rates, and booking trends, contributing to data-driven revenue strategies. Work closely with Front Office, Sales, and housekeeping teams to ensure a seamless guest experience from initial inquiry to check-out. Why This Role Matters: As a Reservations Agent, you are the voice of our properties, responsible for creating the first impression of our 5-star service. Your role is pivotal in shaping guest expectations and experiences, ensuring every booking reflects the sophistication and high standards of these iconic destinations. About You: Previous experience in a reservations, customer service, or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential were more interested in your attitude and willingness to learn. Experience within a luxury environment is desirable Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide a welcoming experience for guests. Proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office; experience with property management or reservation systems (e.g., Opera) is a bonus. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring accurate bookings and communication. A proactive problem-solver who can think on their feet and deliver practical solutions. Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure during busy periods. Confident communicator who can adapt your style to suit guests, team members, and external stakeholders. Passionate about hospitality, with a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences.
