Eden Lodge and Wickett Hern Road are registered services which provide respite for adults who have a learning disability and or associated physical disabilities. This is An Exciting time to join our team we are developing the service and you will be at the front and centre of our new model of short stay and assessment. The Properties comprise of 8 ground floor bedrooms and ten 1 st floor bedrooms in total, between the two premises as part of the team at respite services, the respite support worker will ensure that patterns of care and support within the shift are based on the principles of good quality care ensuring that safeguarding legislation is maintained and reflecting control, cleanliness, comfort, safety, participation, involvement, privacy, dignity and choice. As the respite support worker of this respite service, you will have the responsibility to provide a high-quality service as required by the Care Quality Commission and Doncaster contractual residential standards. We are looking for a calm, resourceful and energetic individual who is well motivated, hardworking, and keen to join our friendly team. You will provide person-centred care and support to guests within our respite services. You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support and to accept responsibility and to grow in confidence as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team. The knowledge of enabling services, Learning Disabilities, safeguarding adults, health and safety Data protection and a basic knowledge of the core principles of CQC is essential within this role. There are posts based at 123 Wickett Hern Road Armthorpe, and at Eden lodge Stainforth but you will be required to work at both services sometimes at short notice. You will need to work in a flexible manner on a rota which includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays as we are open 365 days a year.
