We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, forward thinking Baker to provide technical training and support for our onsite teams and Customers on new product development, continuous improvements and troubleshooting. The hours of work for this role will total 40 per week, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Test bakes on finished flours and positive releasing
2. Support the Technical Manager on new crop presentations and support the Development Technologists
3. Support the sales team in maintaining and gaining new customer relationships
4. Innovation – raw materials, process and recipes (NPD)
5. NPD/customer development and able to organise and implement development/plant trials successfully
6. Support with any issues flour or product related
7. Developing new products and processes in response to customer or business briefs that maintain and grow a creative catalogue of products
8. Building strong relationships with our customers, using all methods of communication including face-to-face meetings and presentations, understanding the wants and needs of both our customers and the end user
9. Awareness of comparative products for all major retailers and brands
10. Presenting facts and ideas clearly and accurately to customers in a supporting role in both on-site and off-site presentations
11. Preparing product samples in the QI Bakery
12. Support pre-production and first production runs for all new products and re-launches. Support post launch reviews
13. Ensuring continual improvement in Concept NPD process

* Food industry experience in a customer-facing role
