A large wholesaler in food is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.
Requirements:
1. Must be a Graduate caliber.
2. 5 years experience in logistics management role.
3. Min 3 years logistics experience.
4. Customer Management at A level.
5. Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
6. Succession planning & development of manager.
7. IT literate.
8. Finance/Profit & Loss Management.
9. Project Management.
10. People Leadership.
11. Commercial Acumen.
12. Negotiating and Contracting.
13. Identifying key issues and priorities.
14. Leading and Managing Change.
15. Business English.
16. Achieving results in complex/ambiguous situations.
17. CPC required.
Responsibilities:
1. Maximize the weekly, monthly, and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, and a motivated workforce.
2. Work in partnership with the customer, and formulate relationships within the customer network.
3. Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement.
4. Demonstrate effective communications with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
5. Manage a diverse team to fulfill business requirements and prioritize effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
6. React to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule, and manage the effect of New Model introduction on workforce flexibility.
7. Control P & L data to the level of expectation as deemed by the contract with the customer.
8. Contribute to the broader commercial environment, taking responsibility for attracting new and additional business.
