You will work as a Manager within the KPMG ITAM team running day to day delivery ITAM engagements related to software license compliance and/or software asset management. You will also support senior team members in selling new business and managing risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Our ITAM projects are focused on helping KPMG clients understand and manage both the commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities relating to their IT assets. Day to day you are likely to be involved in addressing client needs including SAM tool implementation or configuration, maturity analysis and road maps, preparation for contract renewals, optimisation of software and hardware spend, providing audit support and delivering SAM managed services.
You will typically be leading a small team on each assigned project, reporting to a Senior Manager or Director, to ensure project delivery is executed to the highest standards and risks and issues are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. You are likely to be managing multiple projects at any one time, all the time managing stakeholder expectations.
With a broad range of stakeholders, you will need to communicate, challenge, and influence at all levels.
The Successful Candidate will have:
* Demonstrable experience in IT asset management, showing clear proficiency over software licensing (all aspects of contractual, technical, and commercial activities), alongside a strong understanding of software, technology, and related controls.
* Domain specific licensing knowledge relating to at least one of SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, & IBM, with a clear understanding of on-premises and subscription type software licensing.
* Experience of managing a wide range of internal and external interactions and comfortable dealing with all management levels.
* Commercial awareness and experience of taking software asset management services to market.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented by equally strong organisational and Microsoft Office skills.
* Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines with comparable confidence, tenacity, and ability to deal with resistance and push back.
* Experience of managing and coaching junior team members.
* Ability to exercise independent judgement and problem solve.
* Ability to research, digest information and present to peers and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead teams and deliver engagements. Day to day interactions with client stakeholders. Seamlessly manage multiple complex projects from across a diverse portfolio of clients. Deliver excellent service. Follow and complete KPMG risk management processes. Follow and complete KPMG financial management processes. Develop work plans to achieve contracted project scope. Manage the team on a day-to-day basis to deliver agreed scope/services on time, on budget, and meeting quality standards. Responsible for managing timeline and budgets. Tailor working practices and approaches based upon your audience. Supervising the preparation of reports and other client deliverables. Coach, supervise, and quality assure the work of junior team members. Perform aspects of delivery directly by applying your domain knowledge. Process and review of software license entitlement and contracts. Analysis of software installation and consumption data. Reporting of commercial risk or cost-saving opportunities. Help clients enact and track mitigation actions.
* Business Development: Increase business with existing clients. Build relationships with prospective clients and pursue new opportunities. Contribute to responses to RFPs. Contribute to the development of new propositions and bringing them to market.
* Practice Development: Knowledge sharing, coaching and developing junior members of staff. Identifying and implementing process and methodology improvements and efficiencies. Contributing to a diverse and positive team culture.
