Lead and manage NCR processes in line with company’s quality standards to minimise rejects throughout production processes.

Line Manager:
Day shift: 06:00 – 16:30
Key responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Maintain detailed records of inspections, noting deviations or defects found to ensure traceability and quality control.
2. Communicate identified defects promptly to supervisors and production operators to provide relevant feedback and training.
3. Collaborate on corrective actions for timely resolution.
4. Develop and manage NCR process with assistance of Production Manager to improve data capturing for nonconforming products.
5. Develop and implement effective protocols to optimize inspection processes and enhance product quality.
6. Analyse quality-related customer concerns, identify root causes, and collaborate on solutions to prevent recurrence.
7. Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections and production activities to promote a secure workplace for all personnel.
8. Accurate raising of NCRs for Edinburgh site, including disposition and subsequent actions.
9. Any additional duties as required by the business.
The successful candidate’s profile:
Skills and experience:
1. Experience of working in a process or manufacturing role for a minimum of 3 years.
2. Ability to cope with a demanding workload, and conflicting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
3. Performs tasks accurately and thoroughly; double-checks the accuracy of work and adjusts to ensure expectations are met and exceeded.
4. Able to address non-conformance via structured problem solving (rapid problem solving, 8D or similar).
5. Able to draw appropriate conclusions from data and prioritize action accordingly.
6. Strong attention to details.
7. Confident to support and influence continuous improvement activities.
8. Strong planning and organisational skills, with determination to achieve deadlines.
9. Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
10. Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally Epicor).
Qualifications:

1. Counterbalance forklift licence
2. Lean / six sigma experience
