About The Role Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey as a Hose Assembly Operative? Join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in manufacturing both stock and bespoke hose assemblies, utilizing cutting-edge machinery and tools. As an integral part of the process, you'll ensure top-notch quality, safety, and adherence to protocols from assembly to delivery. This will be an initial 3 month contract with a view of extending to a permanent contract following this time. Key Responsibilities Following all mandatory H&S requirements, guidelines & recommendations to ensure a safe working environment at all times Ensuring the working environment is kept tidy & presentable for H&S purposes and customer visits Assembling goods following prescribed procedures, ensuring quality and safety protocols are maintained through to delivery Picking and packing customer orders following standard procedures in an accurate and timely manner Accurately cutting hose to the measured length required, recording short length details Carrying out the required testing procedures in compliance with the company quality and relevant standards, completing test certificates Ensuring all assemblies made are to specification and safe to be used What We Offer A starting salary of £23,400 plus up to 10% annual bonus 32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays, plus the option to purchase up to 5 more days 2 fully paid Community Volunteering days every year An excellent pension and Life Assurance scheme A huge range of high street retailer discounts to help with cost of living via MyArco Perks Free, 24-hour access to our Employee Assistance Programme Access to our Learning Management System, to support your personal and career development Long-term service awards – we’re proud to have employees who have worked for us for 40 years Ideal Candidate Must have a valid driving licence Experience of working within a workshop / warehouse environment Knowledge of health & safety at work policies Numerate including Metric and Imperial measurements Experience in using machinery Experience in a fast-moving environment with change an ever constant Ability to adapt to workload and customer demand changes quickly Ability to work on own initiative and be part of a small team Knowledge and experience of manual handling of large, bulky, and heavy items IOSH qualification in Health & Safety (preferable)
