We are looking for a passionate and dedicated 1-1 Tutor to join our team in supporting children and young people across the Northampton, Daventry and Towcester areas. As a tutor, you will be responsible for delivering tailored tuition in Maths and English, either at the student’s home, school, or a local venue.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1-1 tuition to children and young people, focusing on Maths and English.
2. Assess the student’s current levels and develop a personalised scheme of work tailored to their needs.
3. Plan, deliver, and review effective and engaging lessons to support academic progress.
4. Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles and ensure maximum engagement.
5. Work with students to build their confidence and help them achieve their academic goals.
6. Provide regular updates to parents and carers regarding progress.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience in teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary or secondary level.
2. Ability to assess students’ levels and create tailored learning plans.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
4. Reliable and punctual, with a genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning.
5. DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
6. Experience working with students with a variety of learning needs is an advantage.
