This role primarily involves working as a field-based technician, with daily travel to one or two schools located in the Northamptonshire area. As such, a full driving license and own transport are prerequisites for this position. Additionally, the successful candidate must be capable of obtaining an enhanced DBS certificate, ensuring compliance with our necessary safeguarding standards. Technician Required Skills: CompTIA A or Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship leading to CompTIA A Ability to provide 1st and 2nd line support to our customers Strong problem-solving mindset Excellent communication skills Ability to use continuous housekeeping skills Minimum 12 months experience Enjoys being part of a very sociable team but equally able to work on your own initiative. Ideal candidate will need these technical skills: MS-Windows Server - 2012, 2016, 2019, Terminal Server / RDS Proven knowledge in the installation and configuration of new desktops or laptops. Sound knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows 7/10/11, Apple MacOS/iPadOS, Chrome OS). Virtualization (VMWare) Online Backup Solutions MS Exchange, Office & Office 365 Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) – an understanding of DNS & DHCP Security – Anti-Virus & End-Point Protection Mobile Device Management inc InTune, Meraki, Jamf or similar Service Desk Tool - Datto Autotask or similar Experience in installing, maintaining, and upgrading Capita Solus/SIMS/FMS (Desirable but not essential) Good hardware, software, printing, and networking troubleshooting skills Full time of 37.5 hrs per week.
