Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Living Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying needs to promote their independence, well-being, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
2. Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ social interactions and mental well-being.
3. Support with Daily Activities: Help clients with tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and transportation to appointments.
4. Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to relevant healthcare professionals.
5. Skill Development: Support clients in developing life skills and personal goals to foster independence.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress, care plans, and any incidents that occur.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with family members, healthcare providers, and other support staff to create a comprehensive care plan.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in healthcare or social work are a plus.
* Previous experience in support living or related fields is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
