Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a post in the Single Point of Access programme to offer to an existing RBH team member a permanent position. This is a clinical post reporting to Associate Director of Operations for Emergency Care and Clinical Pathway lead for SPOA. Main duties of the job The New Single point of access project is a government initiative asking systems to ensure consistent and rapid access to clinical advice and alternative services, and to reduce unnecessary conveyance, by implementing single points of access for health care professional. Single points of access provide a single, simple route for referrals to hospitals. Qualified clinicians' staff them, able to ensure patients get referred to the most appropriate service for their needs, resourcing our community partners, SDEC and other stakeholders. About us Our aim is to increase clinical assessment of calls in every ambulance control centre. This additional clinical input will ensure that the sickest patients are prioritised for ambulances and that patients who do not need a face-to-face response can be transferred quickly to services more appropriate for their needs.
