Job summary The post holder will be a registered nurse or allied health professional with experience and knowledge of the safeguarding process. They will work closely with the Lead Nurse Safeguarding Adults and other members of the Safeguarding Team to ensure the trust meets its duties and responsibilities in safeguarding adults, including mandatory training requirements. The post holder will act as a resource to staff, providing advice and guidance to all staff within the trust regarding safeguarding adults and the implementation of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. The role will be based at the County and Princes Royal hospitals and all Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust sites. Main duties of the job 1. Support the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults in the design, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes for UHSussex employees, which reflect best practice in safeguarding and ensure accessibility to all relevant staff. 2.
